Esprit #ImPerfect #Us2 Social Campaign

When Esprit got in touch with me regarding their new social campaign, #Us2, it goes without saying I pick up the phone straight away to my best mate and house mate who you all know and love Tommy Brady (@TommyBrady7).

A spin-off to their current #ImPerfect campaign, Esprit say “no-one quite appreciates your perfect imperfections like your ‘partners in crime’”, and this couldn’t be more relevant than with Tommy & myself.

This subject is something quite close to both of our hearts having met at an event promoting the ‘RED HOT’ project which we’re both part of. RED HOT is a celebration of red hair and promoting positive imagery and role models to people who may currently feel that their red hair is an ‘imperfection’.

This couldn’t be further from the truth. Having red hair and being part of the project has opened avenues and career paths I never previously believed possible and more importantly has helped forge life-long friendships.

Although we share the same hair colour, certain aspects of our personality are like chalk and cheese. But I feel that’s what works. We complement each other in both of our personal and professional lives. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Choosing our looks from the AW16 collection was easy. I wanted to stick with more earthy tones for myself and chose a similar and complimentary look for Tommy. As we’re entering (a very late) Autumn and always a fan of the roll-neck we went with the cotton/cashmere blend sweater in beige for myself and bordeaux for Tommy. Keeping the smart/casual theme that I’m currently enjoying I paired this with cotton glencheck chinos and the light grey wool overcoat. Tommy wore plain black stretch suit trousers and finshed the look with another wool coat in a darker shade of grey.

For my solo selection I wanted to take it a little more casual but keeping the autumnal tones. I wore a basic black long sleeve tee with grey two tone chinos over Esprit’s ‘purist trainer’ in caramel to match my favourite item from all of the above, the caramel coloured suede bomber
