Trend on Trial: 60’s Inspired Easy Rider from New Look Men

Rock n roll, old America, late 60’s / early 70’s hippy, free loving, care free, acceptance and non-conformist are all terms that easily spring to mind when looking at the new, aptly named, “Easy Rider” Spring Summer collection by New Look Men.

Shopping on the high street for a man in his late 20’s / early 30’s can be quite difficult when most of the looks are focused towards a younger and more urban culture. This release has been perfectly timed, intentionally or not, to coincide with the run up to the Coachella festival in California.

However, with a timeless style and fit these pieces would have also been completely relevant 47 years ago at Woodstock. Given my interest in old southern rock n roll, blues and Americana this has been one of the easiest and most comfortable of collections to style.

On a styling note, I feel that layering is key, starting with the most basic of tops being a plain vest or raglan. The colour options are carefully curated and you can easily layer up keeping the styling tight finishing off with some accessories ranging from beaded bracelets to sunglasses and bandanas.
